Every time I would go visit my grandfather in across the border, he would have an array of sweets for me to nibble on. One was a coconut candy bar (whit with a pink bar) called alfajor. The other would be a dulce de leche square (the caramel colored one). If he couldnt find those two, he'd have a conchita waiting for me(mexican sweet bread, the yellow swirl).
Such sweet memories for such a happy child. I loved to visit him and miss him dearly. These help me celebrate my memories of him and how special he made me feel.
